Flétta is a bold, cozy Icelandic sweater that blends the airy lightness of unspun Plötulopi with the strength of Einband. Knitting needles

• 9 mm (US 13) circular needles — 40 & 80 cm
• 10 mm (US 15) circular needles — 40 & 80 cm

Gauge

9 sts × 15 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 10 mm needles.

Construction

Body and sleeves are worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarms, then joined to work the yoke in the round. Raglan shaping is worked with increases; short rows are used to shape the neckline. The garment is knitted with two strands of Plötulopi and one strand of Einband held together. Borders (hem, cuffs, collar) are in moss stitch; a cable panel runs on the body.
